Married in October of 2007 Stacie was the quintessential Flirty Bride and used her own wedding as an opportunity to bring to life her vision of what a flirty bride is, and how much fun she should have, both planning her own wedding and at the wedding itself.

Our Mutt of Honor

It just so happened that the Cypress Hotel we had our wedding at is pet friendly... Those of you who know me well know what that means. Guess who our Mutt of Honor was? Yup! My dog Kitai. LOL. I didn't dress him up, we usually only do that at Halloween, but I did get him a gorgeous white leather leash. He was his charming little self all day. Posing for formal portraits, walking down the aisle carrying his shrimp sushi stuffie toy that kept in theme with our shrimp cocktail wedding cake and even entertained the kids at the end of the night with his tricks.

LOL when I got engaged the first thing everyone said was congratulations. The second? Will Kitai be in the wedding?

Stacie,

There are so many brides who are dog lovers who would like to include their dogs in their ceremonies, but the difference is you actually did it! This post inspired a blog post on 'The Wedding Chat' about Kimpton Hotels being a pet friendly hotel. A blurb about Kitai, the Mutt of Honor, and a link to this page were included. Thank you all around for giving brides and myself inspiration.

Thanks Lea!

Recently I learned that Thomas Fogarty Winery is also a pet friendly venue with a couple of conditions. Going to read your Wedding Chat post now :D
