A Skeleton Wedding Cake
You might guess this was a Halloween cake or a rock-and-roll birthday cake... But it wasn't. It was, of all things, a real live wedding cake!
Here's the coolest part. To make the cake really glam the groom made these custom metal corners with curled points that were attached to each corner of the bottom tier. They certainly made the cake distinctive! All in all I would describe this cake as "Creepy Cool." |

Hey there Stacie, thanks for featuring our cake and giving props to the groom for his fabulous work. The one thing that is cool is this cake was both him and I. Many times you see the same cake that just goes with the decor and has nothing to do really with the couple. I love purple and roses, and he loves to make stuff and skeletons so there you go. I really love this cake, and the baker that did the special request is City of D'Lights in San Ramon. Here is there website: http://www.cityofdlights.com/
The cake topper was ordered by the groom online, not sure where he won't tell me!
Thanks, the bride, Tina

Hey there, did not know you had my cake on your site!! I hope those who see it do not just see that it has a skeleton couple on the top. This cake was not only great to look at, but delicious. The bakers and the ones that made our idea come to life are Atilla and Lynne at City of D'lights bakery in San Ramon, CA. They make such great tasting cakes and they work with everyone to get what you wanted. I wanted purple fondant, and bam there it was. Not lavender but dark purple. Our colors were dark purple, silver, black with splashes of burgandy. And then when we had the corners that my fabulous groom, now husband, created they were so excited to make such a unique cake that had three different layers that tasted great. Here is their website: www.cityofdlights.com You will not be disappointed by their selections and creativity. Thanks!!
