A Comfort Food Wedding Cake Alternative

Share |

"Most of all we wanted the day to feel like our location was our home, and we had just invited all our friends and family over for our simple wedding. So what could be simpler, and more homey than milk and cookies. It's easy, inexpensive, delicious, and it makes you think of the homes you come from and the home you will create together."

Karin (the bride)

Karin and George had decided against having a wedding cake was because neither of them had ever tasted a truly good one. I've had more then my fair share of delicious wedding cake over the years so it doesn't doesn't seem fair that they've had none. But when I saw the photos of what they dreamt up instead I loved that they did something different that really meant something to them.

Thanks for dropping by FireFly Events :D

I thought the picture of the milk shot glasses was just too cute not to feature as a Flirty Idea.

I love this charming idea. Once when we traveled to DisneyWorld and our flight was delayed, we arrived to our hotel way later than originally planned. I felt like a spoiled kid when we finally got to our room, to find chocolate chip cookies and milk waiting for us! There is something so familiar about milk and cookies- I will never get tired of the combo! And what fun to implement it into the wedding. Great idea :)

Haha milk and cookies! At first I thought they were White Russians, but then I read the article and I fell in love with this idea!
