A Comfort Food Wedding Cake Alternative
"Most of all we wanted the day to feel like our location was our home, and we had just invited all our friends and family over for our simple wedding. So what could be simpler, and more homey than milk and cookies. It's easy, inexpensive, delicious, and it makes you think of the homes you come from and the home you will create together."
Karin (the bride)

Karin and George had decided against having a wedding cake was because neither of them had ever tasted a truly good one. I've had more then my fair share of delicious wedding cake over the years so it doesn't doesn't seem fair that they've had none. But when I saw the photos of what they dreamt up instead I loved that they did something different that really meant something to them.

Im kind of an amature baker, and yet have never had a good wedding cake myself. I love this idea and just might steal it for my own wedding.

Glad you enjoyed the idea Jeanna. Be sure to send back pictures if you do this at your own wedding. Would love to add them to this page if you do :) |

We are doing something like this at my daughter's wedding but are having trouble finding a large number of shooter shot glasses at a reasonable price. Can you tell me where you got yours?
Thanks so much,
Gail

Hi Gail,
I just spoke with the Coordinator for this wedding and she believes the caterer provided the glasses through a local rental company. This would be the same kind of rental company that one would rent the dinner and flatware from as well as tables and chairs.
If renting isn't an option have you searched online to purchase the glasses in bulk? |
